the rnc is running a spot targeting a law. look at this. >> six in ten americans are seeing their premiums rise. the average cost of a family policy is up $1300, and a key part of obama's healthcare takeover will cost $100 billion more than promised. >> why would you give that three pinocchios, glenn. >> first of all, most of the health care law hasn't been implemented. increase in premiums has little to do with the law. they're simply taking one data point and applying it to others in effect. the $111 billion, that was a change that resulted in significant savings, it is $20 billion less expensive than originally planned. >> glenn kessler, real modern day abe lincoln, most honest guy in america. thanks for being on the show. >> my pleasure. >>> today's tweet of the day from reuters correspondent, sam youngman. after hitting so many bowling alleys with santorum, first movie i watched when i got home, kingpin. i'm trying to figure out what is the argument against a law like this? i mean, wouldn't it make sense for republicans to support your cause because in the absence of these laws you could argue that more women would decide to have an abortion? i'm trying to figure out why these laws exist. >> normally what we see is with any kind of legislative debate you'll have certain parties who come in that raise this flag and state that if we have a law on the books, women across the united states will come in and say i was raped so that they can strip custody rights away from good, honorable men. i just think that that is a ridiculous argument. nobody is suggesting that a woman can go into court and say, i was raped and immediately rights are terminated. instead, of course a judge is going to consider evidence, is going to look at the facts and make a decision based upon this. we are merely asking for a law that enables and allows a judge to do that, to look at the evidence and then ultimately strip a man of these parental rights if indeed the judge believes that t

in fact, a lot of americans disagree with this law. the most recent poll we could find, which was from the washington post, show 42% want the supreme court to throw out the entire law. 25% want only the requirement that most americans have coverage thrown out, and that group, 52% would prefer the court to get rid of the entire law if that's what it would take to remove the requirement. is this a messaging problem on the part of the white house? what do you make of that poll? >> well, you know, the polls have been all over, but what is clear is that the people who are already feeling the benefits of the affordable care act don't want to lose those benefits. those seniors who are now able to get their preventive health care without having to pay a co-pay, the women in this country who in two years will see that gender gap erased when it comes to how much they have to pay. one of the interesting facts that was in that study is that in lieu ville, kentucky, a woman who is 40 years old who doesn't smoke pays more for health insurance than a

immediate challenges after the president's health care law became law. what's this latest announcement about? >> this is one of the first challenges to the law actually filed before the supreme court rule. this was brought by liberty university, a christian college in virginia that claims the employer mandate, the individual mandate violate religious freedom. what the supreme court basically said is we're not going to address the merits of the case. we're not saying whether you're right or wrong. we're simply saying the off ramp that the federal appeals court put the case on was the wrong one. try again. it gives liberty university a chance to go back to the trial court and start all over again. the obama administration actually posed no objection to liberty's doing this. it thinks liberty is wrong but it agrees with the supreme court that in essence the appeals court blew the whistle at the wrong point in the game. >> pete williams, always good to see you. thank you. >> my pleasure. >> that's going to wrap up this hour of jansing & co. i am chris jansin

doom we heard last week down in tampa, florida, people know that this president promised to bring the law in iraq to a close and that's been done. he promised to save the automobile industry. that's been done. this president has promised to deliver to the american people affordable accessible health care. that's been done. and much more could have been done if he could get some cooperation from the other side. and i think most american people know that the president has time and time again tried to move the country forward and from day one, the evening that he was inaugurated, republicans were meeting in washington to try and bring down his presidency. and people know he that. so the president, not knowing about that meeting and thinking that he was was on the up and up did not realize the extent to which the republicans would go to try to sometime any his programs. i think most american people know that and they're beginning to focus on it. >> to your point, congressman, president obama did promise back in 2000 # 8 to close the partis divide. let me splay that for you. >> in this country
